Need Official Warrant Information?
Use Nebraska JUSTICE first when a case number or court is not known. Then contact the office that holds the relevant record. Give your legal name, case or citation number, and date range. Ask about your own matter or a family member's matter without requesting a bulk list.

Where to Route a Records Question
Traffic, misdemeanor, village-ordinance, payment, preliminary-hearing, and many County Court bench-warrant questions go to Bert Meschke at County Court. Felony, domestic-relations, mental-health, and District Court process questions go to Cara Snider. The Sheriff is the route for execution, service, return, jail custody, and county law-enforcement questions.
- Use County Court for a Bartlett or Ericson ordinance filing.
- Use District Court for felony or family records.
- Use the Sheriff after the court is identified and the issue concerns service or custody.
- Use the County Attorney for prosecution, diversion, or child-support coordination, not defense advice.
Joe McNally's County Attorney page lists the Bartlett office at 308-654-3257 by appointment and the Neligh office at 402-887-5022.
Records Requests and Limits
The Wheeler County public-records page does not publish a warrant-specific form or online records vendor. A focused written request may ask for a non-exempt case-number record, warrant return, or status document. Name the court or Sheriff, exact record, date range, preferred format, and a request for the legal basis of any denial.
Neb. Rev. Stat. §84-712 generally requires access, a written denial, or an explanation and earliest practical date within four business days. Court Rule §2-215 makes filings public unless restricted by law, rule, or order. Juvenile, sealed, investigative, protected, and pre-execution search-warrant material may be withheld.
What This Private Reference Cannot Answer
There is no staff here who can tell you whether a warrant is currently active, arrange surrender, set bond, recall process, or interpret a personal charge. Only the issuing court can decide recall, quash, release, or a new hearing. The Sheriff can explain its service or custody role, but it does not replace the court.
For legal advice, contact a licensed Nebraska attorney. For scam concerns, use the official court and Sheriff numbers above. Nebraska courts do not demand warrant payment by phone, text, email, or payment app.
